My 2008 Fly 150 est 2500 miles has a problem.
I run highest grade chevron fuel.
Lives in my garage at nite.
It will start and idle ok.
But when I give it the twist the engine will start to speed up then almost cut off.
It hardly moves when I give it a twist.
I think my main jet is clogging up.
Can I run some Seafoam thru it or is it to late?
Should Seafoam be run thru on regular basis?
If so how often?
thanks
Bill

I don't know if Seafoam will work on your clogged jet. It would have to be able to get to the clog, and it doesn't sound like much fuel is getting through at all. Additionally, for it to work, we'd have to assume that the clog is not a piece of sand, dirt, or other grit that found it's way to a place where it's not supposed to be, Seafoam won't dissolve that type of clog.
That said, there are different schools of thought on how often to use Seafoam. They vary from "at every fill-up," (which I feel is way too frequent, and is wasting the $9/can product) to "never." Personally, I use Seafoam in my cars at every oil change, and I've used it in my scooter 1 time - after a clogged idle jet (though I did manually remove the clog by removing the jet and blowing through it with compressed air - just for good measure.

Doesnt sound like a jet problem. Sounds more like a evap problem. Pull the vent hose off the carb and see i f that helps

I use SeaFoam on a regular basis. Put it in after every fill-up (try to ). I've used it for years on my scooters and haven't had problems. Don't know if it will help your problem but i'd give it a shot since if it does you won't have to go tearing the scooter apart. My neighbor just bought a MC that had sat for quite a while and it wasn't running well. Gave him some and his MC rode much better after the first add. After 3 fill-ups he doesn't have any problems. Good luck

I'll try the Evap hose when I get home tonite.
And get some Seafoam to run thru when this is fixed.
Does anyone have a good picture of the carb with the jets labeled?
I have been looking but only found the idle jet replacement stuff.
Thanks

I am going to assume the highest brass part in the picture is the main jet.
Is there any thing to look out for when cleaning it?
Any adjustment needed after cleaning?
Thanks

Took off the engine cover and found the evap hose was off.
Looks like the dealer took it off when they fixed a clogged idle jet 2k miles ago.
No filter of any kind in place.
The area has dirt all around it.
Guess I better clean both jets and put a filter on or the evap back on.
