Hi,
Welcome to MV. I would love to help, but I could not make head nor tail of your post, sorry. Maybe go back and edit your post so it is easier to read? You will then, no doubt, have lots of helpful advice. Marc |

Yep - they probably do check 'em out. It's probably the reason they sold it as-is. It could have been deemed too expensive to fix and still be able to sell it at that age.
Sad to say, when you buy as-is, you takes yer chances. |

I don't think it'll make much difference if the collective "we" tell ya that a dealer "should have" checked over a bike before hand. They really don't have to, at least if all the junkers I see in some dealerships are any indication.
If it's a good dealer they will, but looks like you found one that was not so good. Doubtful that the bike is toast though, it just needs a rebuild is all, which is the norm I understand with 2-strokes. So give it its rebuild and have fun. Personally, if I buy used from a dealer, I get a warrantee, if only 60 days. If they don't think it's worth backing up for 60 days, I don't think it's worth buying. Unless the bike it clearly a gem. |

I think the fact that a dealer " sold it as seen" and told you that then you should have been very wary of parting with your money. If a dealer isn't willing to give some warranty with a scooter then walk away, because if you ride away you wont be riding for too long as you have found out to your cost.

Take it to a different mechanic. The dealer already sold you a bad deal on a bike needing work. They have no incentive to fix it in any manner that is cost effective. They've already got your money - why not try for more?! Unless they're doing warranty work for free, go somewhere else.

Aloha and welcome. As is condition never seems to work out for the buyer You could try fighting it but i don't think you'll win. Try the BBB and see what they have to say. sorry you have a bad scoot. I would also take it to someone else just to see what they say. The place that sold it to you don't seem on the up & up. Good luck.
