To keep the warranty in effect, you must service according to the owners manual...because the 2007 calls for every year or every 2,000 miles, it gets expensive to service....but I do it for the warranty...which covered my voltage regulator recently when it went bad. Now, why do you suppose if the 2008 and 2009 GTS is basically the same bike, their owners manual states more mileage between oil changes (not sure but it's llike 4K miles or 6K miles)...once mine is up, I am back to servicing less often.

This has been spoken about ad infinitum. The service on fuel injected scooters larger than 200cc has always been 6000 miles or annually, whichever comes first. Piaggio were getting rid of old stock warranty books (in this country too) which stated the old service intervals. Go figure.

All the regular service you paid for would of paid for 10 voltage regulators.
