Ditch the additives. Instead periodically (as in, now, and then every year or so) remove the carb, disassemble it, and throw it in a bucket of this:

That shit eats all the bad stuff in your carb that you can't get to with an air hose or can of cleaner.

Reassemble and you're kosher.

And that $20 gallon will last you 10 years.

Bob, maybe if you actually hooked up that clutch cable you'd cut down on a lot of vibrations.

Seriously, all you need is some plain ol' 30 weight non-detergent motor oil. (it's about 3 bucks a quart at ACE hardware) Your drain plug is at the very bottom of the crank case, and the fill plug near the bottom, next to the shock bolt. I helped Michael (not you Garrett) a few weeks ago, easy job. Use your syringe type turkey baster to re-fill, till it just oozes out the filler.

Good info here:

ok so the clutch cable
,,is a bit of an issue, but i have it down to a min/vobration @ right rpm/shift,, pretty smooth ( probably so worn down now) but anywho.,,
,,i have a NEW Cable and New cinch-pins to fit and NOT slip, so if the rain stops i have the ex-here to lend a hand pulling the cable tightly,,,
and the $store has turkey basters of various colors, i have a black and a yellow one now,, ,,
no ND lube @ Burke Bros ace/hardware on Hillsborough by the Fair grounds.,,
But i got the cinch-pins @ the small engine repair behiind the hardware for 2 bucks, not bad since there were a bitch to find new ones, brass at that.
,,i found the gear/lube plug/ duh,, so i`m good and hopefully by sat afternoon, my cable and adjustment woes will be over.

Make sure you haven't lost or destroyed the little top hat that fits on the cable outer in the headset. I helped another scooter pal of mine re-fitting the engine in his 150 Super. Had one hell of a time getting the clutch adjusted cause those top hats were missing. There was nothing for the outer cable to tension against, making the inner cable seem to stretch endlessly.
