Although that photo has been here in the past, I still LOVE looking at it. I'd love to have that to ride, then again, who wouldn't, it's f'in hot.

Riding that would be fun the first time for the max wierd factor, but I bet the sidecar physics of that rig really suck. Even empty it would have a terrible effect on handling, and with a load on it would be dangerous. You wouldn't carry a passenger in it, and if you loaded it up with heavy stuff it wouldn't be under control.

It's all in fun...lighten up.

I almost had my hands on a old kiddie carnival ride car (a small amusement park was being scrapped) that I hoped to eventually make into a side car. A rocket ship.
I would have definitely kept the buzzing ray guns that were mounted on the decks.
It looked something like this

I agree that it's one cute scoot/sidecar combo. But I gotta wonder about the handling? Maybe it's only a 'parade' scooter?

You could say most of that about pretty much any sidecar on a scooter. That does not eliminate the fun and the challenge of riding a hack. Affects handling dramatically, reduces performance, can be overloaded, requires different skills to ride successfully - yup, yup, yup, yup.

No, I was talking about the extreme represented there. My P200/sidecar runs fine and straight when empty with a little ballast on board. With a passenger you start to notice the accel/decel veering effects, but not too badly. With too much weight or lots of windage it goes completely to hell. I'm just saying that that big box has terrible aerodynamics and encourages overloading (if you give somebody a big box he is eventually going to fill it up). It's more for show than go.

There must be a company making them though; I have seen pictures of them in different colors and on both sides of the scooter implying different countries.

I saw that scoot about a dozen times when I went to the Isle of Wight. It is very impressive.
