Hi,

I've got the Givi e370 top case w/ the brake light kit, e-108. I have couple of questions with wiring the brake light for an '06 GT200L.
In the top portion of the case, where the three lights are, a blue & red wire are available to be wired to the connector (which touches the connector in the bottom portion of the case). Presumably red is hot, right?
In the bottom portion of the case is a black and white wire. Which is hot there? You'd obviously like to have hot continuing on to hot connection.
Then on the mounting bracket there are two wires with which you are to connect to the brake light wire on the scoot somewhere. These two wires are blue and black. Which is hot?
Finally, when I look at the brake light there are three wires - black, yellow and white. Is yellow hot, white negative and black ground?
And if anyone has a suggestion on where to make the connection to the brake light wires on the scoot, that'd be much appreciated. I've seen a couple of suggestions of doing it right w/in the taillight, but I was hoping to do it further up the line, somewhere above the right shock mount w/in engine area. When tracing the wires from the brake light back to the engine compartment I loose the wires when they sneak behind the gas tank. (I do know they aren't that small three wire loom coming into the compartment, joining up w/ a larger loom; the small loom's wires are different colors from the ones feeding the brake light.)

Many thanks for any advice/suggestions/answers.

Get a multimeter and measure what is +ve (and when) and what is always ground on the three wires on the scoot. Then *if* the lamps in the top-case are LEDs make sure the polarity carries through the right way round for the LEDs - if they care (they may not, they may have bridge rectifiers/regulators). If the top-case lamps are incandescent (I doubt it) then polarity doesn't matter.

The lights on the GIVI topcase kit are incandescents, very disappointing I know.

No.
Yellow in the Vespa loom is the positive tail light (running light) feed. Black is ground to both and white is the positive feed to the brake light.

The light at the back on a Vespa is a combined stop and tail light.
