Say a hearty welcome to Chibbs the proud new owner of my experienced MP3 250. He has been lurking a few days and hopefully will become a regular contributor.

Thanks for the warm welcome. ^_^ I had a bit of a mishap almost immediately after getting on the road, turning her over on her side in a driveway. Could of been worse though, if nothing else - i remembered how to use the brakes.
Baby steps from now on, I was a bit too bold, and thankfully my lesson in being humble didn't cost me more then some cosmetics / body plastic. I myself wasn't hurt except for a few scrapes on one knee, despite that i picked the most painfully rocky driveway to end up on. I was willing to jump back on, i just learned something important, but Fuzzy caught up, and calmed my wild young blood with his his aged wisdom. He kindly offered to drive me and the mp3 home in his truck. Its about 130 miles between our homes, it was an extremely kind gesture. I'll be back on the road tomorrow, after i tighten the steering, which got knocked a little loose. I have a road paved for a empty subdivision next to my house, i'm going to ride over there, and clear all the trash from the road, turn it into my own little practice grounds (It has a cul-de-sac at the end of it ^_^). I'll keep you guys posted, its been great reading all of your posts since i called Fuzzy about this MP3 and he gave me the site. Wish me luck. ![]() |

Welcome Chibbs.
Alright, another Georgia rider! Get in the practice, read "Proficient Motorcycling" by David Hough ( I preach about that book like it is sacred text, I hope that doesn't offend anyone), then we can meet up in person. |

+1 on all .. but +100 on the Proficient Motorcycling by Hough...It's in my..ut hmm..."reading room."
Well, C...you'll lay her down again....I have spare black plastic parts and reflectors on hand for my "Rut Rows.".... I'm CERTAIN you got a good scoot from Fuzzy. He's a good guy. BTW, I bet Fuzzy had a name for her, if he was so kind as to share that. Regardless, you might name her yourself....Truth is most of us do have names for out machines.... Mine? Willow Rogue...graceful scamp...much like her rider. Welcome, Congratualtions and .... Ride Safely and Have Fun.... BTW...you really should...Toreador Pants...meaning wear All The Gear All The Time....We Love to talk about gear...and let's see some pics of Your New Baby. cheers..jacquie |

OOps .. how could I forget to remind you....If you haven't already done it, GO take the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation)( google it) Basic Riding Course....It will add 2 years of "good riding experience" to your skill level...It is really a must.
Congratulations, really super...cheers, jacquie |
