For my GT 200:
> Neoprene fuel line replacing junk OEM tubing
> Vespa GT topcase
> Velcro to mount garage door clicker atop leg shield
> Mid-size windscreen
> Front fender chrome bumper
> Little plastic plugs to fill the reflector holes in front fender
> Rear crash bars
> Crampbuster throttle lever
> Beeper wired into turn signals so I remember to turn the damn things off
> Moto Amore brass exhaust bushing
> Heidenau K61s
> Kryptonite Fahgettaboudit lock
> V3SPA license plate
> Lots of tools: Snowflakes, variator tool, sockets, 23mm wrench for oil drain, etc,
> Sears motorcycle lift

Put a Wolo Badboy in the LX150, which is deafening. I haven't used it in anger, yet, but I gotta get an airhorn for the GT, too. Laughing emoticon

GT200 - Bought it used (651 miles) already came with a Vespa top box.

But it's midnight after eight hours at work, and I just hit the submit button for the following:
- Vespa GTS Mod Style Flyscreen Piaggio SMOKE
- GT200 Rally Decal Set BLACK Refllective
- Scoot Magazine (10) Random Back Issues
- Vespa/MOD Target Key Chain
- Mod Target Sticker Reflective 2.5 inches
- Vespa GT200 1:12 Scale Toy GRAY

* Gonna try to mount some inexpensive bar-end mirrors (wannabe CRG's) on the chrome bar ends.
* Considering taping off the rails on my floor board and spraying truck-bed liner between them. I think the wrinkle black will provide nice contrast & texture.
* I may be adding fender trim from a GTS to the front
* I want quality protective trim for the rear cowls
* Actually thought about a mud flap.....
* LOVE the 70's "VESPA" name badge 'ericalm' put on his baby blue!
* And when I get really really rich, I sure would like a Leo Vince with all the mapping, intake, jetting, etc.!!!
* I presume the OEM suspension is good for about 8,000 miles..... I'll look into an inexpensive alternative sans the designer-name price tag.

(dammit, just realized that I must not have hit my request for reflective checkerboard tape for a helmet...! I've already got several helmets, but now I need a full-face Ghost Grey to make retro with some reflective checkerboard tape down the middle.... maybe a reflective MOD target decal on one side. )

I didn't know you could put a GT200 seat on a GTS 250,
Got any pictures of it installed?

I'd love to get a flatter seat on my GTS 250

Grip Puppies
I put a serviceable and as complete as possible tool kit in all of my bikes including my new Vespa 300S. In this case it's a modified CruzTools kit with the addition of a small roll of duct tape and some zip ties. It fits beautifully in the front glove compartment. The scoot also has an aftermarket 13" mid-height windscreen and a set of Grip Puppies. If you've got long fingers as I do, you'll want to check them out: http://www.casporttouring.com/cst/motorcycle/GRIPPUP/GPSMALL.html. Over the years I have put Grip Puppies on almost all of the bikes in my stable. I'll be putting on a Vespa rack and top case when it arrives from Vespa Eastside next week.

I didnt want to post that, but in Soul Cal we dont have that problem.
Heck, I live in Oakland and I don't have that problem.

BTW Dave this was the best mod I made. IMO the GT seat is more comfortable than the Corbin I bought. Corbin was not custom so sliding back on the seat put me on a hump like the oem. I hated the GTS seat and it mading riding miserable from day one. Best part was finding a sea for $100USD!!! If price is important patience will pay off! If not I often see dealers selling off NOS for $199 or so.

Wow!!!
That seat looks really nice. Nice GTS!!!

I've seen those seats in black for $199. us$ new,
But that brown looks really nice with the red.

I don't like the GTS seat either, It hurts my butt on long rides.
Always loved the feel of the GT seat.

Cheers!

Well, none of my additions are this fancy, bit I did replace the hard hand grips with some nice soft mushy ones, feels a lot better, because this scooter vibrates a lot.
I added some floorboard covers, which I think really added to the look, instead of looking down at that darn ugly black plastic.
Even if it's not a Vespa, there are still a few things I can do to make it nicer.

Vintage Red GTS250
Like Louisq, I have fitted a GT200 seat to my Vintage Red GTS. But I fitted the GT rack as well because I think it does a buch better job of supporting a topbox than the GTS carrier. His brown seat (with matching pads and grips) looks terrific!

So my list of additions/changes, working from the front, is
. Bitubo front shock
. Removed front mudguard reflectors
. Vespa Club badge on the front
. After-market black mirrors
. Heavier handlebar weights that came with the topbox
. Audicator
. Alarm
. Eco-leather grips
. Floor mat
. GT200 saddle (but further flattened)
. GT200 rack
. Polini variator
. Modified air filter (inside baffle chopped)
. Malossi clutch springs

Mods still planned:
. Experiment with Dr.Pulley sliders in the Polini.
. Fit a GTS300 horn cover, painted to match
. Mayber a Flyscreen

Pipedreams:
. Malossi V4 cylinder head
. Nicer wheels - GTS300 style, or VR with chrome rim

But this pic shows it without the topbox and with a chopped GT200 rack, and before fitting the Bitubo. Beautiful, isn't it?

I've taken more off than i've added. Gone are the rack, grabrail, mirrors, mudguard crest, badges, horrible brown standard seat cover, standard exhaust, standard tyres.

All replaced with a pm pipe, some indicator lense tint and some black hammerite on the wheels, footpegs and swingarm.

I prefer clean and uncluttered scoots, all mine are minimal, subtle and stealthy. I just won't do bolt on junk, best way to ruin the looks of a handsome machine imho. Nerd emoticon
