Modern Vespa

i know it's supposed to be a limited edition or something. does it have special parts on it? what's so special about it other than a nameplate and a brown seat?

somebody in denver is trying to sell one to a friend of mine.

I think, LIKE the PX150 limited edition Vespa did, where they only released 400 and put a placard numbering each on on it .... but UNLIKE the Atomic Fireball Stella, which actually had performance parts on it ( higher compression head and different gearing, IIRC ) ... they were the same as normal stella's except for color, the sticker on the front legshield, and the brown seat.

As Eric said above with the edition that they only made 100 or 150 of 'em. They are nice looking bikes. One of the guys at scooterville has (or had) #1-- it was for sale last time I saw it.

thanks, that's what i thought. the guy wants 3k for it because it's 'special,' which i think is pretty much an insane price for a stella.

I think it's a clever marketing tactic to make you feel like they're more rare or special ... and try to command an additional price for that.

Maybe someday for those bikes. I don't know that the day has arrived, however.

Particularly NOT in the fall, when everyone is selling bikes and not buying them.

Particularly NOT right now, when everyone is hurting for money in this economy, and bike resale prices are lower than normal ...even for this time of year.

I think they come in British Racing green only
