I'm trying to get my GT200 back up to scratch after leaving it at the back of the garage for 2 years and I'm sorting out a few little issues.

The centre stand doesn't spring up, I have to dismount and pull it up. It doesn't go down easily either. I expect it's just cr@p in the springs etc. Any ideas how to get it functioning again?

I now feel like your personal mentor mike. Spray some WD40 at the bolt on either side of the stand and move it up and down to free it off. Once freed off, apply some grease to these two areas. You really must start servicing your bikes ya know!

Probably not the springs, but the shaft it pivots on. You can try to spray chain lube into it, but the best way is to take the stand off and remove the shaft for cleaning and re-lubing

You're doing a great job! Today I washed and re-oiled the air filters on both scoots and I now smell totally of petrol. Tomorrow it's changing the oil and oil filters on both bikes. I hope you feel proud!
