Hi,

some idiot thought it would be funny to push over my Vespa LX, had it nearly 18 months and not a scratch on it....

now the right side is dented and badly scratched !!! not happy

can anyone advise, is it cheaper to get the body work repaired - or to buy a replacement panel ??

I live in Reading, Berklshire UK

so if anyone knows any good supplier or body shop please let me know !

thanks

the metal can't be replaced since it is all one frame, but the small plastic parts would be cheaper to replace if cracked or chipped badly.
i know it is not European but look at this site.

http://www.scooterwest.com/items/?_pageCCS=t#page=/items/LX150-Tune-Up-Parts/82?pnum=2&search[show]=10

i did not find the body panels for your bike on it though, but i would call your dealer. how bad is the metal damaged? a little dent or a huge dent. because if it is little, you could bondo it out and then repaint it, would be about maybe 300 euros or so.

sorry about the jerk pushing over your scoot.... Crying or Very sad emoticon

I can't add anything to the above advice, except to suggest UK suppliers for replacement parts:
Suttons for brand new stuffor ebay is always worth a punt, just depends on availability there.

I've always found Suttons very reliable and good to deal with, but brand new parts can be pricey (regardless of supplier). Some right bargains on ebay from time to time.

Hopefully your scooter's assailant is enduring some sort of karmic retribution either now or in the near future.

Hi mate,

There's a Dutch website who provides all the original parts:

Link: http://www.easyparts.nl/choosesubmodel/18/2348/0-968-1-m425-m1557-m2348/LX_%3E50cc.html

You can set the language to English (top right)

Shipping can't be very expensive. It's only the Canal it has to cross.

Unpainted plastic parts are available from Vespa dealers, and are considerably cheaper than painted ones which are also available. For example a painted lower cowl panel for an ET4 costs about £40 whereas unpainted it costs about £17. Great savings.
