...and still no new features.

Made a bunch more back-end changes in order to straighten out some longstanding bits of php perversity. This change touched literally every page on the site, and so the chances of me having screwed something up are, well... exceedingly likely.

Possible symptoms would include broken links, blank or missing pages, error messages in place of pages, or pages that don't appear to be formatted correctly.

If you get a haiku error message, then that's unrelated.

Hey Jess what caused me to have to change my password. I attempted to log in a few weeks ago and it wouldn't let me. I got a 5 try and something about having to wait. I tried other ways than just my automatic log in feature but i couldn't get on. Then my password had to be changed. How do i avoid this in the future or have you fixed the problem? Thanks

No clue. It's fairly difficult to say, after the fact, what might have happened. If you try to log in too many times, it will cut you off as a security measure. Why it wouldn't take your password, though, I'm not sure.

JESS i think it wouldn't take my log in which was set on automatic. Then it wouldn't if there is a security measure on it. That's what happened. Thanks. It was weird.

Thanks for all the back room work you do Jess! I think one of the little glitches may be that the Emoticons aren't working. (Picture the little cherub sticking out his tongue here)

That's by design. I think advertisers are required to pay for their banners. If you don't pay .....

Can you be more specific when you say it doesn't work?

I didn't have them once. I don't know if it's the same thing since they weren't even there so in theory they didn't work. It seems like i get some glitches every once i a while when Jess is working on the forum.

No anomalies seen here t'other side of the pond, using IE7 - and getting that to have no anomalies is no mean feat!

Here's hoping this will make more sweeping changes much easier for you Jess.

Now how about a keyboard shortcut for 'Mark all as read'. Razz emoticon

(<Ctrl><L> would suit me, but that probably does something else... )

I really can't be more specific than to say that when I click on one of the emoticons, nothing happens. It doesn't display. Could be on my end. I have a call in to my tech guy on an unrelated matter and will ask him to look into that as well.
