I'm sad because i have my disgusting, rusty GS160 mk2 engine cases all ready to take in and have blasted... where they can come back looking all delightfully new... but i've forgotten to bring them in so i can drop them off at the blaster. It is high on my list of things to do tomorrow.
I really should have taken status shots as i took apart that engine. When i finally removed the engine buffers ( which were awful ..swollen and misshapen ) by drilling them out and then prying out the remnants, a pile of sand that amounted to probably 3 full measuring cups fell out from in between the two buffers. How it got there? No idea. ⚠️ Last edited by Rover Eric on UTC; edited 1 time

I'm sad because I was going to jet my racer today to compensate for the drop in humidity and temperature but I left my flywheel cover at the shop and I'd have to drive 5 miles in rush hour traffic to get it, which would make it a 2 hour round trip (yes, five miles) so I won't be able to do that today.

I had 3 female nurses all down at eye level, tugging on my wang, poking and prodding, trying to figure out what the heck it was sick with. Turned out i was allergic to the nivea lotion i was putting on it. I kept making it worse by applying more. Once i switched brands i was fine. ⚠️ Last edited by Rover Eric on UTC; edited 1 time

I'm sad because the rear brakes for my motobi are in the mail and I've been waiting for them for a week (though they were only mailed friday). The Giro starts Sunday and I still need to install the rear brakes and finish the jetting.

Today was a bummer. Had to go to the Tax Office to pay our house taxes - kinda like property taxes in the US. This is the first year they assessed this tax. Since we own the house jointly, the form from the Tax Office shows each of us as owing 1/2 the total amount. Interesting country.
So I wait on line for 20 minutes and then hand my tax bill to the cashier. She looks at it, and hands it back. Tells me that since it is less than 27 Euro, we don't have to pay. So, our 6.62 Annual Euro Property Tax is waived. I asked, "What if I want to pay it?" Answer: "I can't accept it." The guy behind me in the line said, "They do that in the US, too, don't they. If your property tax is less than $27, they don't charge you either. How small would your house have to be for a $26 property tax? Perhaps pocket size?" Life is GOOD!!!! i'll throw in some bellyaching here...
i think i forgot to actually wrench down my clutch cover on saturday night. i was wiped out, totally exhausted, from doing my rebuild and my girlfriend disgruntled that the engine was gouging into her QT. i *did* forget to reinstall the piston retaining clip i took off. it hit my like a ton of bricks 9am sunday morning in my waking brain half lucidity !!! oh fuck forgot to put the retaining clip back in !!! so i hop out of bed and rip the whole cylinder and exhaust off as a unit and fight with that little clip with my sore fucking fingertips as my wang is wanging around in green, threadbare 15 year old underwear that i refuse to put out to pasture. late the previous night i put the clutch cover on without the goddamn pressure plate or clutch plunger. with a sigh of defeat i took it off, put the good stuff in there, and hand tightened the cover back on. for the life of me i cannot remember wrenching the cover tight. get the bike all back together and victoriously fire it up, run it up the block and back, turn the bike off and fire up a smoke...and notice a problematic amount of oil dripping onto my rear wheel rim. coming from clutch cover.... don't work on engines while exhausted with disgruntled girlfriend asleep in bed making you feel guilty. oversight on 60 seconds of work is costing me another week of bus rides and about 2 hours of work on saturday. incredibly lucky i remembered the piston retaining ring though. ⚠️ Last edited by aaron h. on UTC; edited 2 times

I'm happy there is such a thing as scoot.net. I just made 200 bucks just selling random crap that I had laying around and had no use for.
