Good taste? Prejudice against poorly cast Indian knock-off Vespas?
Are they poorly made? |

They had to do a bunch of stuff just to make the Stella squeak by emissions laws for the REST of the states...
Puny designed reed block on the carb ? a restrictive catalytic exhaust that's basically disposable because it cokes itself out within 250 miles? A tiny carb? All done just to meet standard US emissions laws. |

Chas wrote: Are they poorly made? And they aren't poorly made but some definite bodgery was done to get them to eek by emissions in the other 49 states. They are cheaply made, how about that? Paint is of lesser quality, welds aren't as nice (or finished), some of the other stuff was done on the "cheap enough to get by" Also shouldn't a topic about a "new" scooter that is nothing more than a recast 30 year old scooter be in the NSM section? |

to be fair, someone replaced the horncast in that picture with a p-series one. I think the bajaj horncast is probably the most recognizable part of that bike...distinguishing it from a p-series the most.

That SOB is still running, despite my best efforts to destroy it during a snow storm and WOT up and down I-95 to Philly a couple of times (new owner though) |
