First, I DID try the search function, but the words appear on so many posts that I gave up. I have the 250 GTS with the factory rear rack. Would like to add some sort of support/back rest for my passenger. I don't think I will be adding a top case for quite some time so it needs to be bolt on, or free standing. Thanks for your experience. PG

I believe Cuppini makes/made one for the LX series of bikes, so there may be an offering out there for the GTS. Your best bet is probably Motorsport Scooters in San Diego (www.scooterwest.com) followed by Scooterworks in Chicago. I'm sure there are others, but those two immediately come to mind.

Those Cuppini ones have been really hard to get. Anything from Cuppini has been hard to get for the last year and a half. Not sure what's up with them. We don't stock any currently, but have been trying to get them for a loooong time.

If Motorsport or someone else can get ahold of Cuppini stuff, this is the one I have:
![]() It bolts right onto the stock rear rack and grab rail, and comes with the hardware to do it. I've had passengers rave about mine. |

One thing about the hardware that comes with the Cuppini backrest. Chuck the bolts and find stainless steel ones. The ones provided rust almost immediately (and actually, so do the stock bolts holding the rack to the grab rail). This is coming from someone who lives in a fairly dry area with very low humidity. I also used larger washers, as the ones provided were so thin they actually bent when everything was tightened up properly. |

Another option is a Corbin seat. You can get the optional backrest that slides into the seat. Kind of expensive but you butt will be happy. I just got mine last week and love it.

Hey guys,
Question for you - does the Cuppini backrest fit with a topbox? I have a Givi and was hoping I could put this on as well. |

The Cuppini backrest could fit with a top box, exept you wouldn't be able to open it. Best to get a soft case to use with it (I have the SX rollbag), or a hardcase by itself that has its own backrest built in.
