Hello,

I've just sold my LX 50 (fifthy) and bought a LX 150.

The power (compared to the 50cc) is amazing. It is actually a lot quicker than cars (in city traffic) and pulled in no time to 110 km/h / 65 mph.

The reason I had to drive a 50cc was that we need a real motorcycle license to drive something bigger than 50cc. (that takes about 6 months of driving lessons).

I've sold my LX 50 for the same price a got the 150 for. And the 150 has half the mileage (3700km/ 2200 miles).

The 150 makes me happy

Great news, congratulations, yes the 150 is way more powerful than the 50. Watch your speed otherwise you'll find yourself speeding just because you can and it is fun to go fast. 8)

Oops,

In my enthusiasm I accidentally said that it is a 150cc, but we have do not have those in Europe, so it is actually a 125cc.

I've probably read too many stories of 150's here at MV.

It's the same here...you don't have to have a license to drive a 50cc, and for me, it was a great way to learn to get about on two wheels. But the extra power I have now is sure nice! Congrats on your new vehicle!

I've got a LX 150 and a GTV and you can't beat the 150 for zipping around town.

The only problem I've had is keeping the battery charged up. Even when I was riding it every day (6 blocks 4 times a day) the battery wouldn't get charged up enough so I had to put it on the tender overnight at least one day a week.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I'll be using the LX 125 in and around the city. The biggest road it'll be seeing are 52 mph (80 km/h) roads. So it's quick enough .... but never really fast enough Laughing emoticon

Nice scooter! I find that the LX125/150 has a nice balance of nimbleness and speed for city use. Enjoy!

Great choice

Don't worry about a 50mph road, I take mine on the motorway all the time and it does a job at 70. That's 113kph in European

I've been riding my ET4 150 since July, and it seems perfect in size and power. Here in the North East U.S. there are secondary roads that go everywhere, so I have little desire or need to visit highways (as we call them) and jostle with iron behemoths. And the secondary roads are waaay more interesting and fun.

It's a VW Lupo GTI.

A nice and quick little car that handles like a gokart. It's a 1.6 with 125bhp and an six speed gearbox. It's pretty quick (outperforms a BMW 325i) because of it's low weight

Congratulations and great catch! The LX 125 is an excellent scoot and is a very nice upgrade from a 50.

That's a real nice scoot! A 125 / 150 cc is fine for getting around town and occasionally on the highway. I have a GT200 and have ridden a 150...have to admit a notice the ability to be a bit more nimble on the 150.

(Wife has a Honda Metro 50cc and when I get to use it...I just zip merrily along)

Enjoy yourself...Ride Safe!

nice!
congrats on the new lx 125! i just recently changed out my battery from the YB9B to the bigger YTX12-BS battery...i got the et tray for it and yes while it is definitely a very very snug fit, it's worth it b/c the battery is crazy better already than the stock type. you wont regret it...get the sealed bigger YTX12-BS battery. i got an interstate one and it's been fantastic!!!!!
