Yea I had a bicycle stolen with this method a couple years back. They even took the lock with them. I guess with the pen they used to unlock it they could still use it.

In the US Kryptonite had the same problem with the cylindrical key locks. They replaced them for everybody! Just send your lock in and they sent you another one with a more secure key lock. Cost them millions.

Very, very Old Hat - that's back from 2006 when the problem was found. Now re-designed, and all owners of the originals could have had them replaced under Oxford's excellent warranty.

So there's an element of FUD in the OP...
