I have a gts 250 but my wife has decided she wants a pink lx 125..!!! i have been reading the specs and they say they have a top speed of 62mph.!!! .Can anyone tell me if they have restrictors fitted and can they be removed ???. If not are there any mods you can do with these to make them any quicker..??

Might be cheaper to buy a 250 and color it pink if you want more power. Mods cost money and i think the cost of a paint job might be cheaper. I think the LX 150 can be kitted another 20-30 but you have a 125 and i don't know the EU stuff (legalities etc). way different on this side of the pond. Good luck

125cc bikes have no restrictions whatsoever.

Only 50cc "mopeds" do, and only in some countries within the EU.

Honestly, if you want a quicker scooter, I would buy the next bigger size

The 125 still has the little wheels... and the tires are rated for 60 mph

If you were to get it to go faster, chances are you will risk tire failure

If you were to have an accident, the insurance probably wouldn't pay

Someone said a paint job is cheaper - I agree

Cheers for your advice but the mrs has only just done her cbt(basic training) and so is resticted to a 125 untill shes done her test...so the 250/300 will have to wait !!
