Dang! I spent the week-end in L.A. - could have escorted you at least to Santa Barbara on the more scenic (and less congested) roadways. Holler next time you're in the area

Jess,
Enjoyed the ride report.

I don't know if you missed or ignored my questions on the for sale forum so here they are again: (of course OAD did answer for you, sort of..)

Two questions Jess?

Did Len allow you to qualify for the MV discount?

Are you going to push for a change in the Cannonball rules to allow 500cc?

Yes, definitely.

Nope. I'm okay with the 250 limit, even though I have several bikes now that don't qualify.

Inspirational, Jess. I've been talking about riding to L.A. for a couple years now. And Albuquerque. How long did it take to ride down?

Clean lookin MP3 500
Now if I had the money and open area to store it, the Yellow paint job alone would have been the turning point for me.

Since I purchased the bike in San Diego, I didn't ride down. I flew, and rode home. It took about a day and a half to ride home.

Sounds like "Smaragdus" would have been a better name for San Ardo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ardo_Smaragdus
