Are you using a timer or a wireless remote?
I'd considered using a bluetooth mouse paired to my phone as a low-budget substitute for a remote, with a Post-It Note over the tracking laser to keep the cursor from drifting off the shutter "button" as I get into place. Range would be limited, though.
(It's only low-budget because I already have one.)
At least you aren't wearing Toreador Pants...
Great. Now I've got songs from both Georges Bizet and Tom Lehrer stuck In my head.
(For the record, the text-replacement macro was not triggered; that was
an intentional reference to it.)
EDITED TO ADD: I tried the mouse-as-remote, as described above. It works, though it is slightly awkward. The range is at least 30 feet. Now I need to fabricate a tripod mount for my phone...
