She is called The Wasp.

I'm so awful at coming up with names, that I have yet to name her.

I'm trying to come up with something though. One of these days something will stick!

This one is named Project Bastard.

We have a love (Running)/hate (Not) affair.

Agree. I 'think' the whole name, but "i'm going to ride Mio Dolce and I'll be back in a couple hours" is how I say it.

Mine's Furio, named after the smooth Italian bloke who was romancing Tony Soprano's wife.

Whatever you feel. That is why I HAD to go with Bellissimo since my Vespa is most certainly male AND he is extremely handsome

Sophia - a neighbor suggested it. Classy and Italian. I tried out a few others, but "Sophia" suits her best!

The name for mine definitely suits it: Great White. White scoot, white top case, lighter seat combo and fast as white lightening!

I believe that's still the case. I looked into it last year when I was thinking of taking a ride up there. Glad I checked beforehand so I didn't get a rude surprise on my arrival.

I think yours looks like a boy

I had a heated discussion with the man at the gate.

First off he said "That's not a Vespa" you can't get "That thing up there" words to this effect.

After showing him how the gears worked he allowed me to continue up the mountain.

Coming down i ran into a similar issue with a Mt Washington van driver.

"How the hell did you get up here"? I replied....."I was air dropped"

Seriously, scooters are not generally allowed, so call first.

Thought I should revive this to say that my second scooter, which I got last fall, is named "Ramona"

As a BV200, the typical name would be "Beverly." I asked wife what we should name her and Ramona came out. Asked her if she liked that name and she said she didn't really care at all if that was its name, it was just the first name that came into her head.

A few months later, and I suggest renaming her, and she's like, "No, her name is Ramona, you can't just rename her!"

What;s weird is that i named my scooter Leo (that's his nickname) but he really is a Leo according to when he was made. 8)

I assumed it was because you'd affixed a Leo Vince pipe!

Sometimes I think more people know Rosies name than they do mine. Especially at work, when they have seen her but haven't met me yet. (Our main factory has +35K employees and +400 just in our building)

Both names "copyright" by my little daughter. Somehow I love the names in dutch but translated to english they sound a bit, well, "goofy" ?

Pan sadly he's named after my fav cousin who died the same week got him. My cousin's name was Leonard (after our grandfather who neither of us remember). He's probably rolling in his grave knowing i named a scooter after him.

That's the name for my S150 but I still haven't decided where to place the moniker, on the leg shield, cowlings or maybe the top case.

My Bev is called Mavis. It seems suitable. She's definitely a feisty shunter!

My GTV is named Alberta. I nicknamed her "Diamond Girl" since I couldn't get that song by Seals and Crofts out of my head while scootering on her back to ATL from NOLA yesterday. I hate it when you get a song in your head and can't change channels.

Aywho... I call my 2017 GTV Betty. There is so much new condo construction around here it's impossible to not to put your shocks to the test. So Betty is short for bouncing Betty and I get that name from old episode of MASH. I doubt many here will get the reference....

Mine is Lucente. Which is Italian for bright and shiny. It's the 70th anniversary silver.

I named my Buddy 150 'St Tropez' edition 'Simon' after Simon Templar, the Saint....

I call mine "Butter" ... it's so smooth!

"Bouncing Betty" was a nickname for an antipersonnel mine dating back to WWII and Korea. It was spring loaded and tripping it would cause it to jump up out of the ground to explode at waist height.
