Light dusting of snow here this morning and 19 F. Still managed to ride into work, but really had to bundle up! Heated grips are a god-send!

Had to travel for work the past couple of days. Got off the plane in Chicago this afternoon, and it was damn cold (25 F). The ride back from the airport was not fun, and my helmet froze my brain from being left in the midway parking garage.
I'm starting to reconsider how tough I think I am. I had to gas up the cage this evening (first time since October 25th) in preparation for the end of scooter season, and I'm not too happy about my Fuelly determined 16.2 MPG average. |

Wow, you are hard core, leaving your scooter in the parking garage at the airport!
I rode today, at 30°, but my helmet and gloves were inside with me until I left. You sure do figure out where the air leaks in your gear are at that temp! |

Luckily UK airports provide free parking for PTWs, long or short term, usually in the closest place to the terminal entrances.
Limited spaces mind. |

Winter in Chicago
Hello I am new MV . I Just winterrized my GTV with a new Tremoscud lap apron last night. I took it out for a 20 mile spin at 23 deg with a windchill of 13 deg on our Lakeshore drive. My ride was pretty comfortable, had a FS helmet with a balaclava mask and Marmot primaloft glove covers.
If it s stays dry I guess we will keep on going until slush gets in the way. |

Welcome iatros! Yes with the right gear and dry roads without ice, we can ride during the winter. My concern is the salt they use around here during the winter. Fortunately that hasn't started yet.

Cold, -5°C but beautiful, sunny day in my neck of the woods.
Just going to head out for a quick trip to Essex, about 36 km round trip. Some frost on the roads, but not expecting any problems. Can't believe it, 5th of December and still riding. |

1 inch of snow this morning.
10 inches of snow + freezing rain and sleet expected Tuesday night and Wednesday. Ugh. Looks like it's time to winterize. At least I was able to make one last run to Trader Joe's yesterday . . . I have a mystery top box project and operation get noticed (which involves led lights and headlight/brake light modulators) to look forward to this winter. |

This may be coming to an end. I just checked the weather for Macomb, IL and there is some heavy weather including windchills below zero forcast from 6 am tomorrow to 6 pm Wednesday.
I watch the weather there because this is my daughters first real winter. Till now her life has been spent in Louisiana. Big change for her. |

Rode to work this am...
24 F A little icy on the side roads, so I stuck with highways and main roads.... I'll keep track of how many days i missed because of weather. It important to future scooter riders to know how many months they can ride in a typical year |
