Modern Vespa

Hi all, this is my 1st post. Just got me a new 2009 Piaggio BV 500, black with tan seat. I'm loving it! Already added the Givi E470 top case, brake light kit, back rest and have a Piaggio windscreen on the way. Hope to see you all on the road someday. I live in San Gabriel, CA where I've seen many scooters, mostly Ruckus. Looking forward to learning and sharing with everyone, even though the BV 500 is only a cousin to a Vespa.

Welcome aboard. I had a BV 500, sorry I sold it, I put on a Givi V46 and the Piaggio wind screen both very worth while purchases. The BV is a great ride, enjoy!

Good choice for a maxi scoot. I really enjoy mine, although I don't ride it enough (own too many scoots and a motorcycle). But, you can never really have too many, can you?

Yes, It is called Multiple Bike Disorder (MBD). Unfortunately there is no cure.

I'm jealous--I've been drooling over a BV500 for a while now, but only as an addition to the stable. I don't ever plan on getting rid of the Vespa, but I'd like somehting a little bigger for highway touring.

We do the same here in South Louisiana.

Of course this weekend we're watching the weather. Their forcasting a chance of wintery precipitation. The weather man isn't commiting on whether it will be ice, snow, or any of the other choices available.

Oh and I know it's early but in case I get busy and forget Merry Christmas everyone.
