As I planned for a GTS 300 Super very soon, I am orientating ahead...
Major controversial descision is the top case.

I would like the original Vespa brand, rekeyed to the ignition key.
To mount, I would need the traditional GTS250 rear rack as an add-on.
Having that I could mount the top case as usual (and known to me)

Also I would like to avoid the notorious 'bouncing' be back
See Is Your Topcase Bouncy?

Having it mounted on a GT200, meaning without the plastic add-on clamp, it would be much more solid.
Found this FACO rear rack and it looks like a chrome GTS300 add-on 'imitating' the GT200 rear rack dimensions.

Any experience on this? Would it make it possible to mount the topcase via the more solid GT method?

I see 4 holes in the rack. Should be possible to use 4 bolts and large washers
to tie the box firmly not?

I checked the flyer/manual that came with my GTS250 top case.
With the Granturismo manual they speak about inserting 3 lugs into the 3 rack gaps

It looks that there are two screws used on the front side somehow.
On the backend, it is clamped via a special iron plate that holds the case tight to the GT rack.

But maybe it is just matter of drilling correct holes in the top case to fit with the FACO....
If so, using bolds and possibly wing nuts would make attach- detach a piece of cake.

Nobody any experiences up to now... Crying or Very sad emoticon

A dealer told me that there are 'rumours' that Piaggio (Vespa) will be announcing a new 300 Super top case mounting system soon.

Het might resemble the picture I have posted from the FACO.
Curious...curious...curious.
