Hoping for a divorce and homelessness?

That is a nice looking bike, but is that the correct badge on the front legshield? Scripted like that? I don't know...

Looks correct to me.
My biggest concern is that it's been a beach/coastal bike for most it's life.
Salty humid air can be pretty tough on metal, but it looks like it's been garaged most it's life.

i thought it looked like a block era also.... but it's just US spec, and every 180 imported to the states had autolube and a sight glass, according to scooter lounge.

its nice...

mine was imported to a dealer in montreal in 1972 and it's not autolube, tractor style tail light, what I think is an american size headlight(but I have no other Rally to compare it to)

Rats. Guy sold it locally to a friend/acquaintance. But, I have to say that cat was super cool to deal with. !00% straight up, lots of details, no BS.

Good people. Even though I didn't get the scoot, I wish every buy/sell interaction was that easy to work.

Back to hunting, meh... actually, I think I'll just get back to finishing up my other scoot work. 8)

awesome price
I paid almost 4k for this US Rally 180 one this summer... Original everything! (except tyres)
I don't understand how you can make a lower offer than the asking price if you do not go out and look at it. That is not fair to either party. It was obviously a great deal and it takes time and experience to see those things straightaway. Just go with your gut and the advice of one or two experts in your hometown, if you need it.
Good luck on your search

Simple really. I offered him every penny I had available for the purchase, while apologizing profusely b/c it seemed like a fair asking price.

Nice Rally.

+1

That thing is in great shape. Nice tractor tail. The red/orange paint rocks!
