Here is the thread on my installation. Turn Signal Buzzer Mod?highlight=turn+signal+beep
Just tapped into the wires going to the front turn signal lights. Used two beepers but you can use diodes to install both turn signals to one beeper. |

Your install looks really neat but i can't place the beepers there. The xenon ballasts of my kit are currently camped there. I'd like to have something like a "tick-tick" sound and not an alarm-like beep.

If you forgot to turn off your turn signal then you are probably moving and you need to hear the buzzer or clicker over the wind noise around your helmet. At highway speed I could not even hear the stock horn. The volume of my buzzers is about the same as the signal for the tilt lock engage / disengage. The pitch is about the same as a back up alarm on a truck. Yes it can be anoying sitting at a light waiting to turn but any less volume and I would not hear it after the turn while gaining speed and at highway speed I cannot hear it. Another option is a light where you will see it such as reflecting off the wind screen. Also remember annoying gets you to take action. Easy fix. Turn it off and the annoyance goes away. |

Look at my "winter project" post, just posted last pictures of LED lights for directional indicators across top of speedo and tech. Cost only $9 with mailing from www.ledshoppe.com but takes about two weeks to get mailed. Still would need a simple wire tap on a front directional wire, and a diode. I tapped just a few inches away from the front directional light. My radioshack beeper gets drowned out above 70 mph.

--------------------- My old beemer had those damn noise maker things on it and believe me, it was impossible to ignore. Few farkles have ever ticked me off as much as that gawdawful device. I'd never have another set-up like it but I wouldn't mind a timer that cancelled them in say, two minutes or so. Even the longest traffic signal usually trips in that amount of time and I hardly ever wait longer than that to make a left turn. So far the ones I've seen advertised are designed to work with BMW type turns signal switches where you have one on each side of your handlebars instead of a single push-button cancel switch. I guess the best thing is to pay attention and turn them off, right? Duh... LL75 |

3M Brand "Dual Lock" super velcro..takes screwdriv
I got my turn signal Radio Shack Buzzer installed today, and it's not too loud after all. Just about right, maybe a little loud. The mechanic used 3M Brand "Dual Lock" to hold the buzzer in place. It is like a super super strong velcro.
He said that once two pieces of it are pressed together, it takes a screw driver to break it apart again and said if you ever want anything to really stay where you put it, Dual Lock is what to use. Said he has his GPS held in place with it on his bike. Said it's hard to find...that he had to get Radio Shack to order it for him. I also go my Corbin custom seat in and had it installed. It was custom made to my height, weight and inseam measurement. It lowered me about 2" on the scoot and now I can flat foot it at stops while seated. With the stock seat, I was on the balls of my feet. Really comfortable!!! The stock seat on the MP3 400 was like sitting astride a telephone pole!! It really created hot spots of discomfort between the ends my hip bones!! |

If there is no flasher then, how do the turn indicators work? If i can get a buzzer that produces tick-tock sound wouldst be the same connection diagram as with the mini beepers?

I don't know how the mini-beepers are shown as connecting but this is a very straightforward circuit. I am planning on ordering from superbrightleds in the next week or two and can order one to try and let you know. |

I have a beeper coming in from an old honda that is supposed to make the tick-tock sound. It will probably be loud enough for my liking. I also have 2 diodes, wires, straps, a soldering iron and basic electronical knowledge so hopefully this will do the job. I don't know how many amps the beeper consumes though! If this doesn't work i'll just throw in 2 piezo buzzers! I was thinking about installing them in the front turn signal housing if i could just squeeze out a bit space, this would be a plug and play clean install (and not plag and pray as option #1

my beepers
I have added two beepers connected in paralel with the turn signals. they are the same high pitch tone, but slightly different.
I covered them with a baloon to keep water and moisture away. JUst placed the beepers close to the back cover to be more audible at high speed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The honda buzzer is not loud enough
So i'll just install two piezo buzzers. I think that the 23mm will fit in the turn signal housing... update soon! |

The beeper is installed! The old honda beeper that i was talking about above did the trick. It is installed over the instruments in the back of the plastic surface which magnitudes the loudness of the sound because the whole plastic now is being used as a speaker..! So i have the tick-tock sound with just one beeper some extra wire and two diodes. At last! An easy mod, didn't take me more than 20 minutes.

I bought a used buzzer from ebay that produces the desired sound:
![]() Because i wanted only one buzzer i had to use tho diodes so as not all the indicators light up together. I placed the buzzer in the back of the plastic found above the instrument panel, behind the windscreen between the two plastics. This did the trick nicely because the whole surface is now like a speaker adding some loudness to the buzzer The beeper can be heard up to 60kph with throttle on and as up as 80kph with throttle off. Quite an easy mod, took only 20' or so. What you need 1. Buzzer 2. 2 diodes(> 1,5Α) 3. Wire for the joints 4. Soldering iron and wire 5. electric tape 6. glue or two sided adhesive tape 7. Screw driver 8. torx screw driver 9. something to cut the wires with 10. 20 minutes of your time How to do it in 11 steps in 20 minutes: 1. Remove the piaggio badge 2. Remove the screw underneath and remove the panel 3. Remove the windscreen 4. Remove the plastic cover 5. Locate the indicators wires 6. cut, join according to the wiring diagram 7. test the setup 8. if everything is ok then solder everything and tape the joints 9. Glue or secure the buzzer, i chose to glue it between the two plastic covers 10. Put everything back together 11. Enjoy! Wiring diagram: ![]() Notes: You could use a piezzo buzzer or two of them like most others have. I didn't like the sound though. |
