A Doctor friend of mine sent me this test. It supposedly tests your cognitive skills, memory and reaction time. It calculates your brain's age function based on the results.

All of the instructions are in Japanese ... so here's how it works:

- Press start.
- The game counts down 3,2,1
- A series of random numbers will appear.
- When the numbers disappear you have to remember where each number was and click on the circles, starting from lowest to highest number.

I did the test three times. My scores were 37, 33 and finally 28. My actual age is 55. I may be wrong, but I think this is a good test for determining one's ability to identify objects while riding.

So check it out. How old is your brain? http://flashfabrica.com/f_learning/brain/brain.html

<Added> Just tried it again and got 27!

Now if my body only "felt" like it was 27 again, I would be thrilled to bits!

Do you think that if practiced long enough, one could get back to the point of being "a gleam in one's father's eye??"

Well, you could try. I certainly don't think practicing can hurt! I do crossword puzzles, anagrams, etc. on a daily basis to try and keep the brain sharp. What you don't use tends to deteriorate.

I don't play games or puzzles and my wife accuses me of being in a persistant vegetative state. I wasn't going to take it because it knew I would be embarrased. I scored 34; I am 66. I don't think I am that good; I think the test is that bad.

Interesting though.

I got 35 the first time I tried it, and I am 35. The number went down with subsequent attempts.

The main flaw with the test is that you are considered 'wrong' the first mistake you make, no room for error for getting 5/5, for example

I went from 53 to 38. Then I realized I didn't have to read Japanese to do it. Nerd emoticon I ll try again.

I also started out in Japanese. Unfortunately, my Japanese is pretty rusty I will try again later, when I don't feel 90.
