How goes it people? This is my first post, so please bear with me.

I made two new purchases recently, the first was a 1987 Ferrari red Mk1 T5 and the second was a Sterling Performance exhaust to fit on it.

I'm afraid that I haven't owned a scooter since 1985 and anything that I did know about them at the time, which wasn't a lot, is now long gone along with most of my working brain cells. But that's another story...

Anyway, I was hoping some of you young sparks might be able to give me a bit of advice as to the correct jet settings I should use with the exhaust. The bike itself is a Spanish import with 6000 miles on it that looks like it has been just about run in. It has no other modifcations and apart from the exhaust, I would like to keep it that way for old times sake.

Any words of wisdom on the jetting would be very much appreciated. In fact do I even need to tinker with the jetting at all?

Cheers
Davy

Thanks for getting back to me. No it's a definitely T5 MK1 (124cc). It's totally standard. I went in to buy a horn cover in a local scooter shop here in Ireland and the dealer looked it over and started raving about how everything on it was pristine and totally original and advised that I would ruin it by modifying it.

To be honest I was totally clueless at the time of purchase. I think I just struck lucky - a guy in the next village from me has just quit his job recently and imported 70 vintage vespas/lambrettas in various stages of decay. My T5 was one of the cleanest so being the impatient type, I bought it on the spot. I have since checked the chassis and engine numbers online and they look legit.
