I am new to the Portland, OR area and was wondering if any of you can recommend a Scooter Shop or Vespa Dealer that has great sales, parts and service. All the reviews seem to be all over the map.

In San Antonio, I would recommend The Motorcycle Shop for all scooter needs and South Texas Suzuki for Suzuki, CanAm and SeeDo needs. The Motorcycle Shop is the best scooter shop in San Antonio, while South Texas Suzuki is the best dealer in San Antonio. Thank You.

motocorsa is a great motorcycle shop, but I'm not sure if they do scooters.

BendEuroMoto is s good moto/scooter shop that carries Vespa and Genuine but I'm not sure how far Bend is from you. It might be worth the ride to build a relationship with a good shop.

good luck and welcome to the northwest!

Thank You for your recommendation. Bend is a little far for me, but maybe someone else can use the information that you provided.

I have been taking my LX150 to Vespa Portland http://www.vespaportland.com/ . There is also a new dealer in the Beaverton area on Cornelius Pass Road just north of Baseline http://www.vespahillsboro.com/index.htm . They are very close to my home, but I have not used them yet. Vespa Hillsboro is owned by the same people that run Columbia Scooters in Southeast Portland.

Welcome to Portland!

Best wishes,

David

Thank You David! How quickly have they gotten your bike done? Did you have an appointment? Have you had great experience with VP? The reason that I'm asking is that all the scooter dealers here in Portland have both great and poor reviews and I am not sure what to think. I live close to Vespa Hillsboro. I guess the Motorcycle Shop in San Antonio spoiled me because I would make an appointment wait and ride home the same day. I don't own a car so my scooter is my wheels.

P Town
I had a very good experience at P Town Scooters. I was riding through Portland and needed a new set of tires. Patrick and the boys took very good care of me even though they knew I would not be a repeat customer (am not from the area) and I gave them almost no notice (called two days ahead). Make sure you bring them good coffee and croissants if you stop by.

I have had good experiences with Vespa Portland. On my tune-up early this year, I brought it by on a Saturday morning, by appointment set up earlier that week, and picked it up around closing time the same day. I think the turnaround depends on the season and what else is happening. I have heard good things about P-Town, but that would be yet further away. I have not yet worked up the courage to cross any of the bridges over the Willamette River to visit P-Town. I will probably check out Vespa Hillsboro next year for my tune-up and oil change, not because of any dissatisfaction with Vespa Portland, but the Hillsboro shop is not much more than a mile away from my home.

Best wishes,

David

I don't know any of the dealers up there but the guy that owns this dealership chimes in over at the Kymco Forum I read and he has always been helpful and friendly. ... and a source of good information.

+1 on that. Jim and the team there opened up on a Sunday for me, diagnosed my GTV, and got me back on the road. Great guys!
