These look great -- something I was looking for for some time and would match the vled I recently put in the horn cover... One question was there some sort of module that you installed to draw power all the time for the running lights as in Europe the forward indicators are only lit/powered when the indicators are active...is that the same for your install too?

ok here is everything that i have "light" wise on my bike ....

first i upgraded the headlight to an HID Hi/Lo from v-leds.com .... then i got the euro turn signal mod, (tried so hard to find running lights the color of my HID but could not to low of wattage no matter what color i got ).... then i got the LED's white/amber , plug and play nothing else.. just straight up popped the bulbs in and have 6500K running lights to match my head light and now a better way of people knowing that i am turning by amber colored turn signals

I'm not planning the euro turn signal mod. (I don't mind the look of the little hangy down thingys.) But I'd like brighter running lights. Would those work for just plain running lights, or is there an easier, cheaper LED mod that you could recommend?
Sorry, but I'm not very electrically inclined.
Thanks.

I had the "flickering" problem. Using the ground wire from the indicators was not enough, i also had to connect an extra ground wire.
When i tested them using only the contact switch, everthing worked fine. As soon as i started the bike, the flickering began.
Very strange.

Yep, my 2nd favorite mod.

As LX125 mentioned, the ground for the Euro Kit was not enough. When the bike started, it flickered.

Found the fix accidentally, while the housing was touching metal on the Vespa.

The rears is my next project. The signal pods in the rear have red running lights. It will illuminate brighter when brake is applied. Also will have amber turn signals.

Do you have double contact sockets in the rear indicators?

I do not. Have to change them out. I did find the sockets the eurokits had at an autopart store. $4 each, but wanted something more waterproof. I bought some waterproof socket but they were to deep. I also saw some right angle sockets, but I think they are to wide. Haven't tried them out yet.

If I had my way, I would order 2 sockets that vespa uses for the brake lights, but I don't think you can buy those separately.

really how bad was your flickering cause i just do not see it on my bike the only thing i see flicker is the small vibration the engine makes running ... other than that i plugged in the bulbs and was good to go

Vic, the scoots looking good my brotha.

Does your bulbs have the pins at the base off set a little instead of opposite of each other.

Mine are like that, so finding LED bulbs are a beeyotch.

Hey - I bought the wiring adapter - works, bought the vleds - works, started the scooter, no white light. Grounded the right light to the frame, lights work when idling. Gave the scoot gas, the right light goes out, and the left light stays on. Back down to idle and the right light goes back on. Any ideas?

Yupp, watched the video. The harness from scooter west works with the bulbs they provided. I installed the VLEDs, which after doing the additional grounding as mentioned in this thread (and a previous thread), the LED bulbs then functioned fine at idle. Once the RPM of the engine increases, the right light only goes out. The right light is the one grounded to the frame (left fixture is connected to the ground of the right fixture)

Try calling the company. Wrecks is still around but he's been sick. You might try shooting him a PM with your problem. He might get back to you. You won't be bothering him because he's probably going out of his mind not being able to ride. Med he's taking is causing dizziness. He installed ours. Good luck

Newbie question on the 'turn signal mod'
Just purchased a 2009 S150 and am looking to do the Euro Turn Signal' mod with the dual changing LED lights.

My question is... do you have to install the kit first then purchase the dual color LEDs OR do you simply plug the dual LEDs in and they work?

Is this different than the kit that Motorsport scooters sells for the GTS (for ~$125?). Sounds like it achieves the same thing - curious if this option is cheaper?

Are they set up for both front and rear or just front? If you want them for the rear it looks like you might need to buy two of them? They really look great!

Just front. For one, the wires wouldn't be long enough to reach the rear. And two, most areas don't allow rear-facing white lights unless they're either backing-up lights, or license plate lights. To be legal in all US states, the running lights would have to be red.

Who knows there maybe rear running light coming down the pipe.

They have a cheaper version (none LED) and a cool nose light (LED) as well. Id like to have the nose light myself.
