Hi all,

Have a new LX125, and many vespas in the past. Have set the clock/date, but the clock never changes time after I've set it. Is there some procedure for 'starting' the clock.

Thanks

I have only sucessfully set mine once - i dont know how though. General consensus over the clock is normally that it is a poor design and innacurate so i wouldn't worry too much about it. Mine is now 66 mins fast...

So I shouldn't be too disappointed the LXV doesn't come with a clock

I realize this isn't your prob, but when the battery ran out on the ET, I discovered it was more trouble than it was worth to replace the battery; getting to the battery is a long, tedious journey into the inner workings. Best advice I received? Wear a watch.

Thanks to a post here, I learned that the problem with the GTS clock is (often) the rubber water seal presses down on the clock set button. If you pull up on the rubber bit the clock will work as God and Piaggio intended.

I believe you may have to push the bottom button (the one you used to select mode) one more time the "set" the clock. Look and see if the ":" is blinking between the hour and minute hand.

Hope this works!

BTW...I'll be posting a step by step on the replacment of the clock battery as my PTO / Winter Project...it's a somewhat of a hassle...but doable...should be posted in about a week.
