The front suspension has a pitman arm, a set of ball joints and some other auto related steering hardware. Neat bike. the device that holds the bike up while at a stop is kinda tricky. the dash is plain and you need to get used to being on 3 wheels. I enjoyed riding it but like anything new, you gotta get used to it. dr

How many CC is that thing? It looks pretty heavy.

EDIT

I guess it has the same engine as the GTS 250

the 250ie model weighs 451lbs dry.

Dave,

Could someone in a wheelchair ride the MP3? A co-worker of mine is kind of wanting to get back into riding somehow and has looked at the MP3 online several times.

Thanks!

I think so, it depends on how much movement they have. There is a large bulge in the stepthrough, roughly about 6" high and its narrow.
That device that holds the bike up while stoped does lock up the suspension in the position you stop in. so if you stop in a banked street then the scooter will be at an angle. the problem is the when you take off the lockup device will disengage but not until you have turned slightly in the direction of the bank.
I did not know that and stopped and puposly leaned the bike over to the left and hit the lock button. then when the light turned green i took off but not until i did a turn into the other lane where a car was coming.
i wasnt ready for that. I remember those 3 wheel atv's that you have to ride a certain way, this is simular, only for the street and in reverse dynamics. dr

So ramrezz425, what did you have to do to get yourself a test ride? Rob a bank for Piaggio? Steal company secrets from Honda / Yamaha / Suzuki, etc.? Make babies cry? Do a stint for the Godfather? Because whatever it takes, I'm willing to do it!!!

The MP3 is a great concept, for a variety of reasons. It's fantastic that the MP3 will be publicly available in just a few months.

Honestly I can't say I like the style of it, it kinda reminds me of 3 wheeler ATVs.
