Try this thread for the LX150...

https://modernvespa.com/forum/wiki-lx150-12v-outlet-mod

I'm sure there are several more threads on this topic out there...

Cheers!

Depends on how much current draw you plan on using at the adapter.

The safest and simplest way is to wire a fused connector directly to the battery. Then route the wires to the location you want and mount the adapter to the body work on the scoot.

If you want the power to be switched (on by the ignition switch) Then you will need to run a power relay (amperage rating on the relay depends again on your current draw).

The relay can be tapped into the ignition switch.

There is a post in the wiki and perform a search on the forum. There are several posts on how to do this:

LX150: Installing a 12V Power Outlet

Thanks

If you use the above tutorial and have questions, send me a PM. I tried covering three projects at once, and it tends to get confusing.

The tutorial has a lot of good info you'll need but (no offense to Smorris!) is a bit more complex than most people would need for a basic 12v setup.

I installed one in my LX last summer and it actually turned out to be fairly simple. As jpitz31 said, you can wire it directly to the battery with a fuse and you're good to go. Hardest parts will be drilling and removing body panels.

I'll try to take some pice of mine. I used the world's most ridiculous wiring connectors because I was hoping to find a bunch of Posi-Locks somewhere and never got around to ordering them online.
