I recently picked up this '07 250 which "ran into" some trouble.
Looking at the photos, is there anything I should be sure to check-out, for safety reasons?
Runs and rolls fine though I'm told it needs realignment, as to be expected.

Oh, and I'll be needing some left-side body plastics too if anybody's got some laying around.

thanks

honestly though take it to a dealer, that way if there is a safety issue they can find it. Those body parts will be impossible to find used. The only way you would find them would be off a bike that was wrecked and chances are those panels were wrecked on theirs as well.

I hope you got the bike cheap. It looks like a good parts bike. You could replace/fix some of the parts, but to be honest, it'd prolly cost quite a bit unless you did all the work yourself and even then...

The left panel front looks almost all cosmetic to me. Luckily not much located there. I'd be most worried about the steering and tilt mechanisms. They LOOK intact in the photo, but it's very easy to be slightly off with them.

The rear part looks like the centerstand has been jammed, the air filter is off, and this makes me think that there's a chance for some variator/belt/ and maybe even engine issues.

I'd remove all the tupperware and then have a good look at everything. Get it to a knowledgeable mechanic and tell him you'll give him a nice crisp c note for a complete rundown of everything wrong and pieces that need to be replaced.

There is no alignment adjustment on the MP3. You can check the alignment, but if it's out, parts need to be replaced. And if parts have to be replaced in the front end, it will cost more than the scooter is worth in most cases, plus with all the plastic damage in those pictures, you are going to spend WAY more then you would on a new scooter.

a tip for ordering new tubberware parts

look at different models some parts of a fouco /500 are cheaper and they are the same as a 250/400 and they will fit on a 250/400

example front clovebox of a Fuoco/500 is cheaper

And order your parts unpainted and spry them yourself with sprycan's
