I am installing a new belt and weights - stock weights - the new roller weights are VERY tight. IS this normal? should they be easy moving like the old ones?

Not normal... they should be free to move easily or else they will not do what they are supposed to do. Sounds like you've got the wrong size.

Thanks! I looked at the old ones - they are OK - no flat spots. So I will take these 'new' ones back and get the right size for next time....
