Here's an article from some asshole dude in Washington...not sure if he's just a columnist or a radio personality...either way...his article is insulting to Vespa riders everywhere...Here's the link...what do you think:

Meh... It's humor along the same lines as the "Harley Fags" episode of South Park. You just can't let those things get under your skin.

I should be doubly insulted because he insulted both Vespa and Harley riders. But I'm just going to ride tomorrow instead. Supposed to be 72F here.

It was surprising to see such an impolitic comment from a commenter of a normally apolitical/inoffensive radio station. I left a comment too.

At least the replies are not in his favour,i have owned 3 HDs and lots of sports bikes all i have now is the 300gts which always brings a smile to my face when i ride it and when i rip away from the lights leaving one of those vertically challenged hog riders looking for 1st gear,i have tried to delete my Harley days from my memory and to think that i owned 3 makes me cringe,more like "Born to be a prat" they dont ride Vespas because they are too fat and cant touch the ground!

I tried to see humor in it from his point of view, problem is he just isn't funny.

this is a guy with a lost of self-centered fear. Joy is not his deal. Has experienced little concerning single track vehicles. Painted Harley riders with the same ego centered paint brush. Seems to wish bad on all kinds of us. Wants us hit and hurt. Making fun of what he just doesn't understand and "selling" that to folks that just don't understand either. I do know we'll never meet. He wouldn't be caught dead with any of us. So, he'll never know what real alive feels like with any of us ... Harley or Vespa. He'll brake late and claim he just didn't see us when asked. No, he sees us. And now, for the rest of his life, he will see us. Dangerous really. Not funny, which is what he wants to pass off as.
