I've tried choking him, slapping him around and shaking him.
All he ever does is just spit at me with contempt.
Obviously, he just wants to be left alone.
Some things just never want to be taken in hand.
My girl friend has even tried to take him in hand.
Same results, just spits vituperatively at her.
