I made my decesion and I had to keep the smallframe. I have a lot of my own personal time in it and I just love the thing. The VBB was sold to another forum member so if we wants to talk about it he can but I won't.

I just got done ordering new tires and tubes for it. The rims on it are pretty new so I am going to have them powder-coated black. I even ordered a legshield glove box for it so I will have somewhere to put all of my junk.

I am going to kit it early this spring to 130cc but I'm not sure If I will do a 4 speed conversion. What do you guys think? If I did it I would want to find a outer handlebar from a 125 primavera so I could actually have the 4 speed selector visible instead of 3. If I left it a 3 speed I wonder how fast the gearing would allow me to go. I only want to do 45 mph. I plan on doing a full polini exhaust and a 19/19 carb.

It will be a few weeks before all my parts arrive but when they do I will install them and take some pics. I plan on undercoating the frame since it is so clean and I think I'm going to take the floor rails off and Line-X the foot area. Then I will put the rails back on. I don't want a floormat on this bike and I don't want to scratch the shit out of the floor.

This should be a fairly easy project and If I go to Amerivespa I'll probably bring both bikes.

Oh yeah, since it is white like my 300 Super it will also be a theme bike. One comes to mind.

Shoot, I was thinking, with that big hand rail on the leg shield you could go this direction with your stickers/stencil:

I gotta admit I don't get theme bikes or the correlation between Adidas and Vespa.

But I am all for people doing their own things to their own bikes. Have fun with it!

Congratulations Chad!

Next thing we need to organize a vintage ride here in Western WI. We might get two bikes out including yours and mine.

Merry Christmas!

do the 4spd conversion.

depending on the type of handle bar that is on there you can use either a rally/super gear change or the p-style one. it's dependent on what switch you've got on there.
Quote:

my 100 sport 3spd with a 19 and a polini pipe would pull 45 on flat ground. it's not so much the gearing as the ratios. 1st us mostly useless, 2nd is wrapped out by the time you're just across the intersection and the 2nd to 3rd jump is huge.
Quote:

expansion chamber like the polini evo or just the polini/leo kidney pipe? 19's are good, or you could spend a little more and get an intake and a 24 mikuni or a 25 dellorto. or wait till later to upgrade.

seriously though, 4spd and electronic ign. are way up on the list.

best,
-greasy

I'll take it, just send me a pm but I thought they never put signals on a Rally 180 since they were done in 1973?
