That helmet is hideous, but when you add the price tag it becomes an unfathomable display of tooldom.

On the positive side, it is really frickin visible!

Its kinda cool. but when my kids watch that tv show I get head pain.

I love the Ruby Ateliers helmets (though not this one for sure). The paint on them is superior to anything else you'll ever see. And the leather lining is freakin' plush-really soft.

If I ever had $900+ to spend on an open faced helmet and was rolling so deep I didn't care if it got as scratched and nicked as my current sub-$200 modular and would happily replaced it if crashed (hopefully not on my exposed face), I'd totally get one.

Worth every penny, I say.

Some of the other Rubys are cool and the Red leather is Pimp but doesn't that leather get hot and sweaty against your face and skin?

People who buy things like this actually don't sweat. They have their sweat glands removed along with those extraneous ribs, etc.

Really not a bad helmet at $1200 it has to be better than every other helmet on the market. So what if it has Spongebob on it, as soon as it got a scratch on it you could just call up your insurance company and have it painted white.

the black one at the upper right of ericalm's message is stunning. but i could never justify that kind of price. if i was going to drop the scratch on a helmet of that style, i would probably go with the davida classic jet at 1/3 the price.

with that much trauma that person would be sadaited or unconcious looks photo shopped to me, and looks more like GSW wound than road abrassions im not a medic but having seen a fair bit of WAR in the last 9 yrs in the middle east and seen a fair few scoot/bike/car crashes over the years ............does send a message very well though also the airway would be blocked by blood or swelling and i dont see a tracheostomy which would be the first thing inserted after fluids
