Hi there. I'm on the verge of buying a new exhaust for my GT125. The man at the Vespa shop said a new standard exhaust (same as what we already have on our Scooters) is approx £350. He gave me a cheaper option, which was for the Scorpion Exhaust (Stainless Steel) for £220. Stainless Steal would benift me as the Scooter is kept outside always and the old exhaust has rusted into nothing. I was just wondering if anyone has one of these on their scooter and/or knows what they're like, pro's and cons, the quality, recommend it? etc. Many thanks.
had this pipe on a lx125 very loud and the clamp from the downpipe to the box was always coming loose-get the fitters to put a decent clamp on the pipe
any good - engine seemed free and a tad faster perhaps - but the noise yuk
i got the 300 super which is fast and no noise at all , star trek warp speed --silent great
ps had all the big bikes with mad exhausts etc bol0xxxks
There are a lot of opinions out there on the Scorpions. But I've been happy with mine. Be warned it is loud, which will get people to notice you in both bad and good ways. It will add top end power.
Click on the link for some images of the latest, improved Scorpions. I've had every version of the Scorpion and do a bit of development work with them at the factory. The good thing about them is that they offer a warranty (unlike most other aftermarket pipe manufacturers). They also listen to problems and improve parts.
I've got a standard GTS exhaust in almost new condition for sale if you want to PM me.
