I came across these MP3 tidbits, in a trade magazine. You may or may not have heard them yet, I dunno.
The MP3's claimed dry weight is 445 lbs. It still uses a leading link front suspension, akin to its scooter predecessors. The maximum lean angle is 40 degrees. The optional upright locking system automatically releases above 10 mph.

The locking system does not automatically lock, and it unlocks with the application of throttle, regardless of speed. By the way, using the locking system while coming to a stop takes a little practice.

I think you've misunderstood the implication of "optional". When I read it, I took it to mean it requried manual application. The word, optional, is explicitly used in the article, appearing in the current issue of Cycle World magazine.

I have heard that the suspense will lock up when the rpm drops to 2500. When it is brought to 2500 rpm it will unlock the suspension. The option can be turned off or so I have read.

Brief skinny on it. There is a little amber light on the dash. When it's flashing you can hit a switch that locks the suspension; at whatever angle you're leaning so be sure to be upright when locking it. It flashes below a certain speed, below a certain RPM, and with a closed throttle, but it's completely manual; nothing automatic about it. With the amber light on solid, the suspension is locked. The smallest application of the throttle will unlock it and you're back to tilting again.
