Anyone got a pair of these? My fiancee and I enjoy riding with each other, but not so much screaming at each other. Been checking out the reviews for these and they seem decent, but am open to suggestions for a decent communications setup for 2 up riding.

Thx.

A couple of years ago, I set a pair up for a friend. They used them on a cross country trip. CA to FL, FL to NY, NY to AK and AK back to CA. They said they worked flawlessly.

I was VERY disappointed when I got it and sent it back. I bought it to listen to music while riding and they have REALLY SHITTY sound quality. Sounds like you are listening through an old AM Radio speaker.
I got a Parrot SK4000 head set and am really happy with the sound quality. But they don't do head set to head set communication, which is fine by me.

I saw several riders at one of the rallys I went had the Cardo ones. He seemed to like it and it was much smaller than many others. The wireless helmet to helmet seems like a great idea. This way it will work if you are 2-up on one bike or on 1-up on two bikes, without any changes.

We have the Scala Rider Q2 set which can be used bike to bike or to the pillion.

I modified them slightly to fit inside BMW system 5 helmets.
They work superbly and have given us hours of fun riding together (on seperate GTV's).
Best investment I ever made as far as riding gear was concerned. It changed the whole 'riding together' experience.
I also use the GPS feature and the Hands Free Cellphone Calling system through the GPS.
It has built-in noise cancelling and NO ONE ever beleives I am riding when they phone me.
The FM radio works fine but I hardly use it as I find it distracting.

Get a pair, you wont regret it!

Are you talking about the new G4 unit? It's very different from the previous ones.

I have the previous gen Q2 that I only use as an intercom and it works fine (bike to bike). The new G4 unit is meant to be much much better for that purpose - can hear it at higher speeds.
But.. the Q2 is not remotely weatherproof. It will break if you use it in the rain due to the unsealed eletrical connections. I don't see the G4 being any different in that aspect.

Another player that you should look at is the new Sena system

I'm having very good results with the Chatterbox XBI2, I got 2 but sold its pair this week.

X Sound is good with ear plugs on
X power last all day
X the people I have talked with on the phone said I was clear
X seems to be water proof but it has not been tested by me
X Small is a very big plus, you can talk with 3 other riders on Xbi2 systems
X you can play music, I have not

I have the HF unit since I ride with a flip helmet.
