Plus I got a backrest for the top case the other day when I was at Larry's shop.

Oh, and Deb got me one of these motorcycle jacks from Craftsman. Nice! I like tools.

I didn't get a scooter, per se, but my wife and my Mother-In-Law both gave me downpayment certificates from our local Boo-Teek for a GTS.

Parts for the Mini are easier and cheaper to come by. Not that I would turn down a Fiat 500 but I prefer the looks of the Mini. I must go on record that Santa brought this for my wife.

I'm sure she would let me borrow it when I wanted (if I have been a Good Boy) but it is HERE toy. She dosen't like diamonds, so what else could I get her big? I have 2 scooters and she only has one, and doesn't want a second one. I had to find some way to let her catch up so that I could justify a 3rd one for myself.

Well my LX150 I got back in November really was my Christmas present.

I did get a bumper sticker with my web address on it. Thought that was nice.

I tossed it on my truck. Did not want adhesive on my scoot.

I received a trip to So Cal for a week of Vespa related fun including Vespa's new tech center in Costa Mesa, training and a test ride of a US GTS250, Motorsport Scooters in SD and Vespa SB to visit scooterbobbie. It was great to see Erik and Rolf again, Talk with Alex @MS and to meet scooterbobby after talking with him on the phone several times. To top it off SoCal was having 15FT waves and half of SD was at the beach.

I will provide a write up on the 250 engine soon.

More coincidence than Xmas present
Yeah, just wrote off an Aprilia Atlantic 500 a while back and swapped over to a GT200L with the insurance money just a week before Xmas... and yes, Google brought me here!

Interesting the mention above of the original Mini - I had one actually stop traffic for me the other day to let me turn into a junction - is there a special unofficial Mini/Vespa affinity going on there?

Hello scooterists!!!

I just made myself a Christmas present... A new Vespa LX 150 - colour black.

I bet you're all from USA, but me, I'm just from Romania. New here.
Sadly I found out that I'm one of the few 4 Vespa owners in Bucahrest.
Even more sad, I must wait until March to get my Vespa from Italy. Piaggio will ship it then. Until then I will have to get my licence

I am reading your posts for about 3 months now, when I decided to buy the Vespa. I hope you owners will post more usefull stuff for me to learn until spring when I will be happy to post some pics with MY scoot.

P.S: I also got all the crome bars, two Vespa helmets, a cover, an alarm, Vespa gloves, a medium windshield... and I am happier than a kid on Christmas morning, even if I'm 25..

PIXEL, Lets not forget UK, Australia, Canada, Belgium, New Zealand, Norway, and Puerto Rico.

I'm from a large city Worcester, Massacusetts, USA but I might as well be riding on the moon when it comes to other modern Vespa Riders. I'm in an all inclusive scooter club Diner City Scooter Club I've met one guy with an ET2 over the summer and have not seen him since. So welcome to Modern Vespa were you'll have plenty of great people to talk it up with.

Welcome to the forum, pixel! I always wonder whether various members who register but don't post are still reading or if they got bored and wandered away. I guess you were with us the whole time.

Congratulations on the Vespa, we're all eager to see some pictures when you get it.

Came off on ice; and I did a fine job of trashing the Aprilia:
http://flickr.com/photos/clocky/66805685/

I had a few cuts and bruises (and now the battle scars to prove it), but nothing broken and I could walk and talk. I was toying with the idea of getting the GTS in 2006 anyway and a 2004 GT200 came up with low mileage and I was sold!

Clocky, glad to here you are all right. I'm thinking of riding this weekend if the snow and ice clears from the roads. This just reminds me to use a little more caution. One thing you can be thankful for in your crash is that you had some sense knocked into you and you got a Vespa Laughing emoticon sorry. I enjoyed all your photos. Thanks.

Ride Safe,

Well not for Christmas, but a little gift for myself the day after Christmas...

2005 Stella - 200cc Vespa engine, JL pipe, Ancilotti seat, real Bitubos for front & rear... very sharp... and fast!

Now, I have a 1980 P200 and another Stella (2003) that will have to be vacating the garage... leaving me the 200 Stella and the GT200...

If anyone's interested in either, let me know - both are in Tampa and I can help facilitate delivery pretty much anywhere in Florida...

greasy,

Sorry I missed you. I though by your post that you were going to be in my GTS250 class. You must have been in the class the week before with Victor from Seattle. I haven't been in So Cal for over a year and had a lot of loose ends to tie up. I had a pretty full schedule trying to fit 2 weeks worth of time into a week. I traveled over 1600 miles during this trip.

I will be coming back to So Cal soon and will advise so we can hook up.

Yep, just rode it to work. Good God what a nice step up from the Mets. I talked Michelle into getting a crystal white lx150 and it should be here in a week or so. I think she will like being able to keep up with traffic....that's why she wouldn't hardly ever ride her Met. We have been hangin' out on "Urbanscootin.com" since about August and this forum sure looks nice also. Got to love this whole scootin' thing. Just about the most fun you can have with your clothes on and even that is optional.
