So glad I found this post! My fiancee and I are riding from Memphis to Key West next month. We are doing a big loop from Memphis down the gulf coast (hopefully it won't be an oil slick by then) through the Everglades, down to Key West (getting married there) and then back up the Atlantic coast to Savannah, then Knoxville, TN (my home town) and westward back to Memphis. This is also a 15 day ride. Your blog on scooteradventures.com has been very helpful!

Sounds like a great trip! I highly recommend this trip, but make sure you go all back roads. If you go through the everglades on route 41, alligator alley, make sure you have a full tank of gas. Here is only one gas station from east to west on route 41. I highly recommend visiting Savannah, GA. I fell in love with that city. If you happen to stay here, visit Motorini (Vespa Savannah) and say hi to Gary, the owner of the Vespa shop. He is super friendly and welcoming. Cool, thanks! I have mapped out a route on backroads through MS, AL, FL & GA. Thanks for the tip on alligator alley. We plan to post daily on MV and would welcome any input from y'all during our trip!
