Quick question, I have used the search feature and found nothing.

I pulled the head and barrell of a low milage Indian made LML or PX150 engine, It had a scored piston and barell and debris marks in the head and looks like it has been running hot/lean, I found the conrod has a lot of side play at the big end bearing, I cannot find any measurements in any of my repair manuals as to what the side clearance should be. There is no up and down movement that I can feel but seems to be 3 or 4 mm of side movement, this seems very excessive to me, your thoughts please.
Thanks
Dave

Had a better look at the engine tonight, stripped it down and pulled the crank out, big end bearing is toast, the cage that holds the rollers in place is gone, there are a few small marks from the cage reminents being thrown around the inside of the engine on the edge of the crank and engine case and a few sparkles.

Gearbox part of the engine looks perfect, nice and clean, It just needs a piston, barrell a head some new head studs and new bearings for the crank, or a replacement crank and rod.

Was thinking of making a bit of a hottie, I have an expansion chamber exhaust, I just bought a malossi 166 piston and barrel kit I could use, just need to sort the crank out.
