Just put a deposit on a BV 250. I really wanted a GTS but my wife is short and is uncomfotable as a passenger. She hated the way it felt. However she loved the way the bv felt and was very comfortable. Besides the awesome look of the GTS how does the BV compare?

Thanks in advance.

The BV has longer tire life! Great over potholes and uneven pavement. I like mine and just moved from a GT200. A little more torque not front fork wobble. Get a top box and you'll be set.

That's cool to hear. I pick it up today and we are excited. I am used to the traditional look and feel but the BV does look freakin awesome and from what I have been reading will fit our needs alot better. I will just keep my 66 vespa sprint 150 to rip around on for fun.

I love my '08, which I just got used several weeks ago. Rode 300 miles over the weekend, down to the beach and back with narry a problem, and with the girlfriend on her GTV.

Excellent bike, I say.

i get accused of blasphemy on the this forum all the time, but my own garage has a BV250ie, Scarabeo 500, GTS 250ie...

The BV and Beo are in a different league to the GTS...

the 2009 BV250ie TOURER is the finest scoot on the planet--bar none!!---after buying a 2009 vespa 250 super riding 4000miles, 3 sets of tires, fighting the constant shake rattle and roll, looking at the fit and finish etc---and then dumping it(GLADLY) and losing $3000 bucks)----------WHY would anyone tolerate that abuse??????----when for less money you get a BV. smooth , powerful(not as quick ,but, a lot faster), a true freeway runner with one or two-up, AND(ARBITRARY!) A MUCH MORE HANDSOME SCOOT!!! I have nearly 10K onmine and would not trade for any other scoot.---i have owned 14(inc. burgys--majestys etc)-------JMHO---doug

I just got an 09 BV 250 a month ago and love it.

Its a jack of all trades, great for all riding environments (minus off road).

Perfect size, not too large or too small, nimble, comfy, stylish.

Only gripe is underseat storage is lacking and the stock windshield has bad wind buffeting at higher speeds.

Nothing a topbox and new screen didnt fix.

Enjoy!

Well I am a new owner of a BV 250! Thing rides awesome! Handles amazing! Totally not use to the seat though, I've been driving old vespa's so this is a totally different feeling. Hopefully I get use to it soon.

Nice BV, passengers definitely prefer the BV to the GTS. You're a smart man, keep your wife happy.
