i have recently picked up a 1977 p200e.
I'm wondering if there is anything special i need to know about the '77s?
The Haynes manual is listed for 1978-1995.
Also I noticed that some parts are listed for before or after vin# VSX1T 34627 and i'm #367

Just seems like there are a lot of knowledgable folks on here so thanks in advance! I hope to have some good pics up as soon as I learn what the heck I'm doing with it.

77...78...it doesn't matter. There weren't any big changes made to this bike until '80 or '81.

+1

My '78 is #6925 and I've never had issues with the manual being any different. I've actually gotten way more & better info from scooterhelp and vespamaintenance.

ok thanks for the info!

btw I just checked the carb and it's the 24/24 which seems to be the better one for the P200 right?

not better or worse

just different

the 20 is a great carb for a stock p when putting around town

the 24 " " " " " " " " if you plane on major highway and\or kitting and bigger pipe

really depends on the riding you want to do
