Hi, Any help here would be appreciated,
The spring off the tick over screw in the carb has fell through the port into the crank and seized the engine,, it is half sticking out, but stuck fast....
Any ideas,, apart from a full strip down,, Bearing in mind my scooter knowledge is very limited and only have Mr Haynes to help!!!!
And to happen when the weathers so nice too....

full strip.

you could 1/2 ass it and maybe free it up by rotating the flywheel backward but more than likely you'll gonna need to split the cases.

best,

You're going to want to inspect any damage you may have done to the crank web and it's mating surface ( the rotary pad ) on the engine case.

Yeah, sorry to hear about that, definately unfortunate!

You are going to need to open up the cases for sure to inspect the damage(hopefully none....). There is a possibility that the rotary pad may have been damaged, as well as the crank web surface.
Your haynes manual, scootermercato.com tutorials, or vespamaintenance.com should be able to help you step-by-step to remove the engine and pull the cases apart.
Please post pictures so we can help in assessing the damage (like I said, if any at all).

Sorry to hear about it! Good luck!

Cheers,

- Chris
