Does anyone one know the actual production volume of the carbureted 2010 LX150 in pink? Thanks.

I'd be interested in where anyone finds production or US import numbers for Vespa models - let alone colors.

I asked Mrs Aviator, who's pretty knowledgeable on such matters. She said:

Way too many!

She's not big on Pepto Bismol, of course.

Hmm, good question. I've read that 1000 pink LX's were made for the US market, but I think that includes both the LX 50 and LX 150 models. Perhaps a call or email to Piaggio USA would be in order?

Isn't that something like 3 or 4 for every Vespa dealer in the US? I'm with Mrs. Aviator, I think 1 per would have been more than enough.

Yeah, they've been slow to sell in some places. I wouldn't be surprised if they sold a bunch of them in Florida and southern California though.

Hold up dudes...there is something out there for everyone.
I bought one of the pink 150s from the Memphis dealer. She had 2 and sold the other one to a guy who bought it for his wife on Valentine's Day. Thankfully they live in another city so I am the only one in Memphis with the pink 150!
I had to be super obnoxious and go one step further...custom decals and pink crystals...now just stop rolling your eyes and go with it. It is like riding in a parade everyday on my way to work...lots of waving and smiling!!
The pink color was done in connection with a breast cancer awareness campaign.

LOL! Hey, if you're gonna go for it, why not go all the way, right? Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with the pink Vespas, there's certainly a place for them. I agree, the color definitely jumps out and grabs you... but whether that's a good thing or bad thing is up to the observer; it most certainly is visible though! They did partner with several breast cancer organizations to give away a few of the pink Vespas, most were 50's I think, but a few might have been 150's though.

I've heard that Vespa also sold a few limited edition pink Vespas back in the 70's too, but I'm not sure which models. Anybody else ever hear about those?

I was told there were 1000 50's and 150's all serially produced. Last 3 digits of vin # are the number they were 000-999. There are also pink topboxes, pink copter helmets all in that Rosa 562 color.

Ok. Now I'm really jealous!
Saw the puppy on the scoot before and liked the design, but now that I've seen it from the front - Lovin' it! I have mine covered with flower decals so that it looks like a hippy scoot. I'm with you on looking like a parade on the way to work! At least people notice me (that's the whole idea) and they are usually smiling when they see me cruising down the highway.

Now, that's a pink scooter with flair!

Is that a whippet or Italian GH?

I sold 6 Pink LX 150 in less than 10 months before we closed.
I still was able to grab one more, but it will be going back to Vespa.
LX 50s were almost impossible to find as most of them were donated to charities.
I also got a hold of the pink top case early on as well as they were in limited supply. Same goes for the back rest with matching pink piping.

1) my baby girl is a whippet (Lilly); she is a rescue and no, I would never actually take her for a ride in case anyone was wondering...

2) the topcase is a Vespa accessory...mine came from Metro Moto, the Memphis Vespa dealership. I love it because it hold my heels and other work related necessities. It also locks so I feel safe leaving stuff in it while I am at work or out shopping. Linda at Metro Moto is great! Call her if your local guys can't get the topcase.

These loud custom colors are great. I kinda wanted the orange S 150, but went with black, as there was 15% off in stock. The matching topcases and piping is great. I'd like to see an atomic vomit green one!

I found it in the LX section of the accessory PDF.

Dealer should be able to order it from that part #.

If they are still in stock..
Vespa only sent a certain number to the States and that is it...
Same goes with the back rest.
When I ordered mine last year I was told to order at least 3 because they would not last.

There were 400 Pink Vespas (2010) made
Breast Cancer awareness was the reason they were made. There were 400 produced. Dealers could order as many as they wanted. San Francisco Vespa order 26 of them. Here in Hawaii, they only ordered one. They jacked the price up to $6,000 out the door. Right... No thanks. So I called San Francisco Vespa... they still had 21 of them. I bought it out the door for $3,100, and shipped it to Hawaii for $391 on Honolulu Freight Service. Arrived 4 days later. Already have 300 miles on it! So much fun! I turned mine into a Barbie scooter. The Barbie doll turned 50, and so did I. We rode in the Toys for Tots parade (my pink Vespa and 4,000 other Harleys... what a sight), and as we rode the parade route, little girls would see my scooter with the Barbie logo on there and scream, "Mom!!!!!! It's Barbie!"

Ok, those decals really make the bike. Do not mean to offend anyone, but it looks much better than just plain pink (if bright pink can be plain!).

Where did you get the decals?

Outstanding customization! One of the most entertaining things about MV is seeing what people do to their scooters.

So assuming that they painted a complete run of 150s, you might be able to guess a serial number run from this.
