Hey everyone, lovign the site, so much info!
ive been wondering, the used ET2 I bought has a malossi 70cc kit put in about 10 000 km ago, ive heard a lot of people say that the extra power wears things out quicker, makes sense, but how much longer should I expect the kit to last before having to replace it?
whats the typical lifespan of a 70cc cylinder upgrade?
I religiously keep the oil tank topped up with the proper 2 stroke oil ect and the past couple weeks of ownign the bike have been fine but im starting to wonder how much longer the engine will perform at its current level ( its great so far!)
Also, when the time comes to replace the kit, is it possible to do DIY? the shops here apparently charge an arm and a leg for service.
thanks a bunch!

On my 2 cycle 70cc Typhoon, I put on my 2 ring iron Polini Corsa kit on at 3200 miles....I now have 8400 miles....
I have used only synthetic oil, currently Bel-Ray Si-7....I have also adjusted the oil cable, so the engine gets more oil, using the injection system.....and also changed the oil belt last year....that runs the injector. I also top off the oil reservoir once a week...I do not trust the low oil idiot light!
Or, like a lot of kitters do, is to get rid of the oil system, and add oil on every gas fillup......
I also check the spark plug, to see if the engine is not running lean.....
If you do not do those things, you will have a short kit life....

so are you saying pre mixing oil..aka adding it to the gas instead of reservoir...is a good thing?
i just top up the reservoir every couple days.
