I had my 6000mi service yesterday, and did a few upgrades in the process.

I live 45min from the mechanic, so I started with a reported setup from snowgum: report on fitting a HiT clutch

17gram sliders
12.5kg clutch springs (red); shipped with 10kg (black) installed
20kg pillow springs (yellow); shipped with 25kg (pink) installed

I had my son with me(~60lbs) and immediately felt the extra pep on takeoff. Our journey was mostly highway (65mph-75mph). Highway performance seemed unchanged to me; gas mileage for the round trip was ~60mpg.

This morning I did 40miles on farm roads north of Dallas. The rmps were higher when the clutch engages and 0-45mph acceleration was excellent; no rattling ... yeah! Many times, less that WOT was sufficient for takeoff. On flat asphalt at 55pm, the rmps were ~5200. This seemed similar to before which explains the similar highway gas mileage.

The clutch fully releases at ~2000 rpms. This was a surprise when taking a slow corner. I had adjusted by the end of the ride.

The mechanic charged 2.5hrs of labor for the 6k service, rollers, and clutch.

I purchased the sliders and HiT clutch direct from Paul~at~unionmaterial.com .

I'll report back on gas mileage in a few weeks.
